About me

Matthew Schrock, PhD, is a senior staff psychologist at the Behavioral Health Partial Hospital Program at McLean Hospital. He has extensive training and experience in the delivery of empirically-supported treatments for mood and anxiety disorders. He is also associate director of Psychology Training and the McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School Doctoral Internship in Clinical Psychology. He is a primary supervisor for McLean’s nationally recognized, APA approved, pre-doctoral internship in clinical psychology and is extensively involved in the training of students and early-career psychologists. I am a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Massachusetts.

My Approach

Dr. Schrock specializes in providing evidence-based treatment in a flexible, personalized manner. Specifically, he offers Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mentalization-based approaches for adults experiencing mood, anxiety, and personality disorders. These treatments emphasize the development of practical coping strategies that support noticeable change and growth in clients' lives. Working with Dr. Schrock may be helpful if you are interested in learning ways to better manage relationships or family conflict, work- or school-related stress, parenting or caregiver stress, grief/loss, and major life transitions.
